Workstation & Web Server

The resident workstation in the SiMM Lab, known as "teton" is a Sun UltraSPARC II. It also serves as the web server for our lab and is displaying this very page for your perusal.

Teton is running Solaris7 on a 64-bit, 300 Mhz cpu, with 640 MB RAM and 29 GB of hard drive storage. Funding permitting, teton will soon be operating with twin 300 Mhz processors and 1 GB of RAM. Installed on the workstation is FIDAP 8.0, a general purpose fluid dynamics analysis package. In addition, it offers C, C++, Pascal, and FORTRAN 64-bit compilers.

The analysis package FIDAP allows us to tackle a wide variety of fluid flow and heat transfer problems from a computational approach, while the expertise of the laboratory's staff and associates allows us to tackle analytical solutions to the problems we are working on. We would be happy to give our two cents on any such problems your firm is facing. This page is under construction. Stay tuned for future developments.
